Just as HTTP built the internet, A2A is the universal protocol for the next decade of AI. While MCP perfects the Agent-to-Tool relationship, A2A masters the Agent-to-Agent handoff. It transforms isolated frameworks into a collaborative, global web of intelligence—moving us beyond smarter bots toward a true society of agents.

We’ll start by looking at how we got here: the shift from the basic "chat" era of 2024 to the "Interconnected Ecosystem" era of 2026. While AI agents have become more powerful, they’ve also become stuck in silos. Currently, agents in LangChain can’t easily talk to those in Salesforce or CrewAI, creating a massive "Integration Tax" for developers. This session highlights why we need to stop building isolated tools and start building a connected web of intelligence.
The solution is Google’s Agent-to-Agent (A2A) Protocol, the universal handshake for the AI world. We’ll explain how A2A differs from MCP—moving beyond how agents use tools to how they actually negotiate with each other. Through a live demo, you’ll see this in action: a "Support Agent" talking directly to a "News Agent" and a “Research Agent” to solve a task.
